Carrie Vilaplana is a Banker in the San Diego office of J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Carrie works closely with successful clients across the region including corporate executives, pre- and post-transaction business owners, real estate investors and nonprofits. She serves as an advocate to deliver the firm’s global resources, helping families fulfill their purpose and leave legacies for the next generation. Carrie’s strength lies in an ability to offer a holistic, engaged and responsive client experience. She draws on her strong commercial lending and institutional capital markets background to blend strategic planning with attention to the fine details of each relationship. She has a particular interest in working with philanthropically-minded families, and plays an essential role in preparing the next generation to be good stewards of wealth.
Throughout a 23-year career in finance, Carrie has been both market-driven and client-focused. She began at Lehman Brothers (NYC) and Wedbush Morgan Securities (LA) in asset-backed securitization and equity research. For the last 18 years, Carrie has worked in Private Banking presenting custom credit and wealth management solutions to high-net-worth clients. She began her Wealth Management career at Wells Fargo Private Bank and then spent some time with the Union Bank Private Bank, prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2021.
Community engagement is one of Carrie’s core values. She has been involved with the San Diego Symphony Notables and has been a member of the Board of Trustees of La Jolla Playhouse in the past. She currently sits on the Executive Committee of the Trusts & Estates Council for Rady Children’s Hospital and serves as President of CREW San Diego’s Building Futures Foundation. Carrie is a Legacy Member of CREW San Diego and has been involved with the organization since 2017.
Carrie is a cum laude graduate of Amherst College, where she played on the varsity women’s volleyball team. She and her husband, Victor, are both San Diego natives and are enjoying raising their 2 children in the San Diego Community.
Bre’an founded FS Design Group in 1993 and since then, she and her innovative team of designers have been translating the space needs of corporate clients, multi-tenant building owners and healthcare providers into inspiring, three-dimensional work environments. Bre’an’s additional nine years working in multi-tenant office and R&D property development is a unique benefit to FS Design Group’s clients. Having been on the owner’s side of real estate transactions, Bre’an understands her clients’ needs and how to navigate the process more efficiently for all.
Now, with more than 30 years of experience, Bre’an leads strategic planning, client relations, and general operations for FS Design Group but also takes an active role in her professional community. She was instrumental in co-founding the San Diego chapter and eventually the national network of CREW. In addition to serving on the CREW San Diego Advisory Board, she is focused on establishing a separate nonprofit organization for scholarships that will be awarded to members in pursuit of further education. Bre’an is also an active member of NAWBO, which represents women business owners across all industries.
Sarah Potter is the Development & Asset Manager for Cisterra Development. Cisterra is a development firm based in San Diego and was founded by Steve Black. The firm has developed over 9 million square feet of best-in-class projects ranging from Class A offices campuses to high-rise urban mixed-use and traditional multi-family projects. Sarah was heavily involved in the development and asset management oversight of Radian, a mixed-use project in Downtown San Diego, which earned numerous awards including CoStar’s 2024 San Diego Multifamily Development of the Year. During this project, Sarah was nationally recognized by GlobeSt. as a 2023 Multifamily Influencer.
Ms. Potter received her Masters in Business Administration with a focus in Real Estate and Finance from the University of San Diego, and her undergraduate degree in International Business & Management from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania. Her prior experience includes Asset Management in Affordable Housing and Commercial Office in addition to pre-MBA roles in Marketing and Business Development at both Architecture and Construction firms. This experience has provided value to new asset brand development and marketing strategy. She is a previous Board Member of CREW San Diego and earned the Professional Women in Construction’s Connecticut Chapter Rising Star Award.
